OUTRUN THE STORM has hit the crossbar on both starts since winning at Leicester in June and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the four-year-old to earn his fifth career victory. Eldelbar is an obvious threat to the selection having scored over C&D a month ago, while Barney's Bay and It Just Takes Time are others who could go well.
Prediction : 1st Outrun The Storm 2nd Eldelbar 3rd Barneys Bay

WAIT TO EXCEL arrives here on the back of two victories in recent months and a 5lb rise for the latest of those wins may not be enough to stop him from making it a hat-trick. Kitsune Power chased home a useful rival at Goodwood last time and it would be no surprise to see him go well once again. Post Impressionist and Knightswood are others who merit places on the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Wait To Excel 2nd Kitsune Power 3rd Post Impressionist

TIS MARVELLOUS failed to fire in the King's Stand last time but he had shown promise on his seasonal return at Newmarket in April. The veteran was an impressive winner of this contest 12 months ago and he has every chance of repeating that success. Ainsdale was far from disgraced in a Group 3 on his stable debut in June and has to be of some interest from a good draw. Existent is another who has plenty in his favour, while King Of Stars should not be underestimated despite the step up in grade.
Prediction : 1st Tis Marvellous 2nd Ainsdale 3rd Existent

A case could be made for several in this field, but a 4lb rise for his latest win over this trip at Pontefract may not be enough to stop SOUL SEEKER in his tracks. The Oasis Dream gelding kept on well to win by a length during the aforementioned contest, while connections of Hey Mr enlist blinkers in an attempt to see their four-year-old sneak further into contention. James Watt is respected down in class.
Prediction : 1st Soul Seeker 2nd Hey Mr 3rd James Watt

GOLDEN DUKE recorded a good third given he failed to break on level terms on his most recent outing over 6f at Carlisle. The son of Galileo Gold is entitled to improve dropping in trip, especially as he was denied a clear run during the aforementioned contest, and Nigel Tinkler's consistent three-year-old may have more to offer. Nibras Again recorded his best run of the year over this course and distance last time and can be feared, while John Kirkup completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Golden Duke 2nd Nibras Again 3rd John Kirkup

A competitive event that might go the way of CELL SA BEELA, who performed creditably on debut at Kempton having been backed into favouritism. Roger Varian's tremendous record around here is another plus and the daughter of Kingman can see off the likes of Canadiansmokeshow, who shaped well on both her starts at Newmarket and was also engaged at Newmarket on Friday, and Mawada, who wasn't beaten far at Ayr. A half-sister to Group 1 winner Salute The Soldier, Fox Flame looks the pick of the newcomers.
Prediction : 1st Cell Sa Beela 2nd Canadiansmokeshow 3rd Mawada

MINWAH may still be a maiden through 10 starts, but in two of her last three runs, she has had to settle for second behind odds-on shots. There does not seem to be anything of that calibre in this line-up and that could give her the impetus to get off the mark. Wendell's Lad must also be considered on the back of a 101-day break, while Jupiter And Mars is a player based on her effort at Haydock last month.
Prediction : 1st Minwah 2nd Jupiter And Mars 3rd Wendells Lad

17:29 Beverley

SAULIRE STAR wasn't beaten far on her last two outings and was a convincing winner at Ripon in June. The booking of the in-form Sean Kirrane can aid her cause and she is preferred to Quercus Robur, who ran a career-best at Ayr last time out. Dandy's Angel has a long losing streak to overcome but must be considered, along with Foreshadow and Highlight Reel.
Prediction : 1st Saulire Star 2nd Quercus Robur 3rd Dandys Angel
