Charyn made a winning start to his career at Haydock earlier this month and Roger Varian's colt demands the utmost respect under a penalty. However, the vote goes to ENDEARED, whose best effort so far arguably came when beaten a head over this trip at Doncaster and a repeat of that display might be enough for him to shed the maiden tag. Ready Reckoner, Dicko The Legend and Fast Trek are others worth considering.Prediction : 1st Endeared 2nd Charyn 3rd Ready Reckoner

WOWZERS has been knocking on the door on his last couple of outings and his recent second here suggested the extra furlong may bring about further improvement from the son of Kodiac. Chola Empire has been gelded and sports a hood for the first time following a brace of promising efforts last season, while Space Tracker and Spinaround appeal most of the remainder.Prediction : 1st Wowzers 2nd Chola Empire 3rd Space Tracker

EDDIE'S BOY has already landed one valuable prize this season by taking the Super Sprint at Newbury before running with credit at a higher level since. The drop in class gives him an excellent opportunity to get back to winning ways as he attempts to confirm Newbury form with the runner-up from that contest, Woolhampton, who has since placed in a Listed event at the same venue. Self Praise has the ability to be competitive in first-time blinkers, while recent winners Boy Browning and Amichi are both open to further progression.Prediction : 1st Eddies Boy 2nd Woolhampton 3rd Self Praise

Summerghand accounted for Tabdeed when scoring in this contest 12 months ago and his recent York victory suggests that another good run could be forthcoming. That said, preference is for GREAT AMBASSADOR, who was a Listed winner last season and he has only had three starts this year. The five-year-old has improved with each outing in 2022 and he caught the eye when finishing sixth from an unfavourable draw in the Stewards' Cup when last seen. Daneh was a useful two-year-old and has to be of some interest on her seasonal return. Prediction : 1st Great Ambassador 2nd Summerghand 3rd Daneh

SOAPY STEVENS was a disappointing favourite at York last time but his previous form means that the four-year-old can be given another chance today. He is only 4lb higher than when winning a valuable event over C&D in July and the son of Harzand was a close fourth to the subsequent Ebor winner Trawlerman at Goodwood later that month. Sam Cooke was not far behind the selection on his most recent outing and is an obvious threat, while Gold Maze and Nahanni are the pick of the remainder. Prediction : 1st Soapy Stevens 2nd Sam Cooke 3rd Gold Maze

The winning machine that is SIMPLY SONDHEIM is declared to run here on Friday as well but, having run twice in the space of four days in June, there is every chance that he could take in both races. The step up in trip has the potential to bring about further improvement, and the best placed to chase him home could be Hexameter, who has improved steadily and ran well on his handicap debut at Kempton. Now that the penny has dropped for Sarsons Risk, he can also have a say. Pub Crawl isn't out of it either.Prediction : 1st Simply Sondheim 2nd Hexameter 3rd Sarsons Risk

With plenty of early pace a given in this contest it could set it up for a closer in the shape of THE PRINCES POET, who returned to form with a decent placed effort behind Lipsink at Windsor. Harry Davies' 3lb claim could come in handy as he looks to fend off the likes of Kimngrace, who has had a fine season up to this point, and Dusky Prince, who never seems to run a bad race. Isle Of Lismore is another to note, especially on soft ground. Prediction : 1st The Princes Poet 2nd Lipsink 3rd Dusky Prince
