I’m keen to stick with BASHOSH after that short head defeat to Dutch Decoy at Newmarket. I thought he was a bit unlucky that day and given he remains open to further improvement he looks a good bet to reverse that form here. I think this track will suit him better and even at the time of writing there is money for him. Dutch Decoy is up 3lb and looks one of the dangers again. Boardman has already won 3 times this year and wasn’t disgraced at Chester last time. If he bounces back he is a lively each way player but I think the selection should have him covered. Garden Oasis is a 4-time C&D winner and he scored over track and trip last time. He is 1lb out the weights but given he loves it here I wouldn’t want to totally rule him out. The rest all look to be up against it and I’m confident the selection brings the most potential to the table.

With 3 wins from his last 4 BIGGLES looks a good bet to salute the judge at Chepstow on Bank Holiday Monday. He was beaten at Newcastle when last seen but raced a bit too keenly that day and that form has been franked by the second The Attorney since. He is still lightly raced so freshened up since there could be further improvement to come off his current mark. Macs Dilemma clocked a career best over C&D last time but I think the race was run to suit so while he is respected he will need to find more to follow up here. Stockpyle has somewhat blown out the last twice but his wins here and at Wolverhampton before that were impressive and I think he could emerge as the danger. Arcadian Nights was last at Ascot following that big rise for his C&D win and this would take a big performance to bounce back and win so passed over for now.
