New Bay colt BOROUGH is taken to improve past this field on nursery debut. He has shown promise without seriously threatening in 3 runs to date and ran his best race staying on well for third at Wolverhampton last time. That looks pretty good form with the pair in front of him looking promising and the fifth Jive King going so close earlier in the week. A mark of 74 may well underestimate his ability and Ryan Moore is an eye-catching jockey booking perhaps suggesting they’re anticipating a big run. Fragrance won at Catterick back in May and she was back to form following a couple of poor runs to finish second at Chelmsford last month. She could be the danger off the same mark but One More Olly could also be a factor if managing to settle better. She definitely has ability but isn’t channelling it in the right direction at the moment.

Twilight Son filly DAY MEMBER looks just the type to step forward now handicapping. Inexperience got the better of her on debut where she finished sixth behind Trillium but she did do some good late work that day and was nearest finish under Tom Marquand. She was well backed following that initial effort but ran a bit flat at Leicester. She resumed her progress to finish third at Windsor and with cheekpieces on for the first time likely to sharpen her up here a mark of 70 now handicapping probably underestimates her. Boom Boom Pow has finished behind some nice horses so could be the danger. She was fourth to Safari Dream at Sandown and then was third to Felix Natalis at Ffos Las. If she keeps progressing she should give the selection most to think about. Clenched is also noted but she might need more time and experience.
