Equity's Darling is bound to be popular here, having got off the mark in determined fashion at Thirsk in June. A penalty for that success makes life tougher here, though, and that sways the verdict in favour of KELPIE GREY, who has been green on both starts to date but still shaped with plenty of promise. Queenie Rooney is open to improvement as well after a solid debut effort at Newcastle, while Fermanagh appeals as an interesting debutant.
Prediction : 1st Kelpie Grey 2nd Equitys Darling 3rd Queenie Rooney

Returned to the scene of his only triumph this season in June, another ideal opportunity looks to have presented itself for SIR BENEDICT, who has been knocking on the door of late. The booking of Ben Curtis is another plus and he can get the better of Kilconquhar, who has only once been outside the first three in his last four starts. Now 21lb below his last winning mark, Flying Pursuit must be considered, along with Phillip Makin's Impressor.
Prediction : 1st Sir Benedict 2nd Kilconquhar 3rd Impressor

A three-time winner already this season, including over C&D, COCO JACK sets the standard in this nursery and, as long as he handles the forecast testing ground conditions, he could be tough to pass from on or near the front. A comfortable winner over C&D on her penultimate outing, Shandy Star is well capable on her day but must bounce back from a below par effort at York. Jm Jungle has ground to find with the last-named on their track-and-trip clash last month, but he has also won here before.
Prediction : 1st Coco Jack 2nd Shandy Star 3rd Jm Jungle

A few interesting types here, but SEA GIFTED might turn out to be the best of them and she's fancied to make it third-time lucky. William Haggas' filly might have bumped into one when second at Kempton earlier this month, but that was a step forward from her debut effort and she could improve again. Makfoul sets a decent standard on what he has achieved in his first three starts and he looks to be the main danger, ahead of Lucinda Russell's Scottish Wind.
Prediction : 1st Sea Gifted 2nd Makfoul 3rd Scottish Wind

ELEGANT ERIN is in the form of her life at the moment and she wasn't beaten far into third at Newcastle last time, suggesting this mark was still within range, so she's fancied to get her head back in front. Iris Dancer could probably do with a bit of respite from the handicapper, but she's a C&D winner and could go well, while Gentle Ellen is interesting back in handicap company after she narrowly won a maiden at Ayr earlier this month.
Prediction : 1st Elegant Erin 2nd Iris Dancer 3rd Gentle Ellen

Although the shorter trip is a worry, it's hard to get away from Jim Goldie's CLAN JOCK, who sets off in pursuit of his fourth win of the season. The five-year-old son of War Command has been in incredible form this year, and all three of his career victories have come here. Providing he can hold his form over this distance, he can win again. His biggest danger might be his stablemate Ayr Poet, who also goes well here, while Granite City Doc could go close off a reduced mark if putting his best foot forward.
Prediction : 1st Clan Jock 2nd Ayr Poet 3rd Granite City Doc
