Mutara had some decent form on the Flat chasing home Simply Sondheim at Leicester and then Shut Up And Dance at Chepstow and left his debut run over hurdles behind to win at Stratford in July. He was always doing enough but then had experience over the runner-up. GRAFFITI was the horse that finished second that day and he is the one I’m siding with to reverse the form here. He really impressed drawing clear to win pretty much head in chest over track and trip last month and a similar effort may well suffice. Mutara has also been beaten since finishing second to a hurdling debutant Flintstone and likely needs more now. Cabrakan goes hurdling for Milton Harris and is quite interesting but will likely do better for the experience here. Mr Freedom was third behind the selection last time so has ground to make up.

Things didn’t go to plan for THE PREDICTOR when down the field at Haydock but if you put a line through that his overall profile is progressive having chased home Mostly Cloudy at Doncaster and then improved to open his account at Thirsk last month. He travelled strongly into that and then showed a good attitude to prevail with the front pair a couple of lengths clear from a well strung out field. I think he was value for more than the neck winning distance and off just 3lb higher here he should take a lot of beating. The loveable Mukha Magic has now won five of his last seven and impressed again at Chelmsford last time so looks the danger. A further 4lb rise is going to ask more though so this won’t be easy. Atacama Desert won at Haydock last time so comes here with confidence high but a 7lb rise is also going to demand plenty more.
