Narrowly denied over C&D last time, Technological can also have a say in proceedings.

A convincing winner here last September over hurdles, MIDNIGHT JEWEL must hold every chance as he looks to go one better than last month's chase debut at Worcester. The form of his stable is another plus and he can see off Easy Bucks, who hinted at a return to the winner's enclosure when second at Perth over further. Moans Cross scored in a weaker renewal of this race last year but must still be respected off 6lb higher.

GRAFFITI was runner-up on his hurdling debut behind Mutara at Stratford before improving and going one better over C&D 17 days ago, when appearing to be more professional. With that in mind, along with the fact Mutara has since faced defeat back at Stratford, the former is taken to reverse the form of their initial meeting. Cabrakan has shown ability on the Flat and warrants respect for a stable who enjoyed a fine season with juvenile hurdlers last year.

CALL ME TARA had shown promise in several bumper outings before shedding the maiden tag on her first attempt over timber at Worcester in July. Fergal O'Brien's mare is expected to benefit from stepping up in distance and she is likely to confirm the form with Girlofmydreams, who finished fourth in the aforementioned Worcester event. The daughter of Sir Percy contested a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in the spring and is capable of better in this sphere, while Missfit and Bolberry Down are other viable contenders.

CALL OF THE LOON was an impressive winner on his stable debut over an extended 3m3f at Stratford last month and that form has been boosted with the third winning twice subsequently. With that in mind, a 7lb rise may vastly underestimate this veteran. Drumlee Watar won a novice event last time and is an obvious threat to the selection, while Nelsons Rock is a player based on his Newton Abbot victory in June.

SISTER SOPHIE finished second on two of her three starts last season and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the six-year-old to go one better. Spy Lady failed to fire when favourite on her Rules debut but it is far too soon to be writing off this point-to-point winner. Emzara should not be discounted on her return, while any market support for Ice De Pail would have to be noted.
