Quite a few of these come here with something to prove so I think it looks a good chance for HOT SCOOP to win again and at decent odds as well. He kept on well to win at Catterick last month and then backed that up when narrowly denied at Beverley last time. The winner Birdie Bowers looks a nice enough horse so that form is pretty solid especially for the grade. This son of Hot Streak gets to run off the same mark and I can’t really see why he won’t go close again. He can get a bit tapped for toe so hopefully he can just track some pace around him. If it pans out favourably I’d be confident he will take a bit of beating. The danger looks to be Rory who lost his chance at the start last time really but ran on well. He is down another 1lb to a mark of 64 now so if taking to the surface may well be the one to put up the most resistance.
