I thought the way AGE OF SAIL ran on at Sandown last month was really encouraging and given he races here off the same mark if he improves again he should go close. He steps up to just shy of a mile and a half here as well and given the way he finished last time that looks certain to suit. Auntie Margaret, Arclight and even VE Day could push forward and if that happens it would be an idea scenario as I think he wants a good pace to aim at. Kingman colt Liquid Metric is the one I fear most as while he blew out at Newcastle he was back to form when beaten just a length at Beverley and with more to come he should run well. Fight For It should strip fitter from that Salisbury run and with Hollie Doyle up also has to be noted. Sulochana will like going back up in trip but even still I think she needs to find more against the selection.

The way SIRONA won on debut was mightily impressive so it’s no surprise to see her thrown into a race as good as this on just her second start. She came there on the bridle and really powered away in the closing stages. I’m not even sure she would have known she had a race the way she crossed the line and given that was her first outing she is sure to improve again. Conditions should be ideal and I’m keen to keep her on side. Candle Of Hope won her first two starts before running well to finish third in the Denford Stakes and then I’m not certain she was in love with the track last time. She likely still has more to come so with Buick up she might still be the danger despite not looking in love with these undulations. Ipanema Princess also has to be respected back on these shores having been highly tried recently.
