13:30 Brighton

The Simon Pearce trained GEORGIA MADELEINE (best priced at 3/1) won on her handicap debut last time and she should hold strong claims off 6lb higher. The daughter of Pearl Secret was sent off 200/1, 100/1 and 150/1 for her first three starts before winning when well backed on her handicap debut over 5½f here last month.

Georgia Madeleine won comfortably by 1¾ lengths when sent off 100/30 last time and despite the form receiving a couple of knocks since, she won in a dominant fashion and looks to hold strong claims off a 6lb higher mark.

All eight runners apart from RED ALERT (best priced at 3/1) face question marks about their recent form so I believe the Tony Carroll trained gelding is the most solid option in this race. The eight-year-old has form figures of 42141 at this course including a win over 6f here 14 days ago.

Red Alert showed a good attitude to win by two lengths and despite the handicapper raising him 4lbs I feel he should prove hard to beat off top weight with Hollie Doyle taking over in the saddle.

This appears to be between three course and distance winners but preference goes to TEMUR KHAN (best priced at 4/1) who comes into the race following three good performances over this course and distance. The Tony Carroll trained gelding has form figures of 4142112 at Brighton and he nearly completed a course and distance hat-trick in August. The seven-year-old won twice off a mark of 48 before finishing only ¾ length behind Largo Bay 14 days ago off a mark of 55 in a 0-65 handicap.

The handicapper has raised Temur Khan 2lbs for that run up to a mark of 57 but the top weight now drops back into a 0-55 handicap and he should run well with Mollie Phillips once again claiming 5lbs off his back.

Temur Khan - 0.5pts e/w @ 4/1
