This looks a very winnable opportunity for FLYING VERSE and, although he disappointed at Bangor last time, that was a much better race than this so he's fancied to make amends with Lilly Pinchin on board. Course-and-distance winner On Time can go well if none the worse for a fall at Stratford last month, but the one to chase the selection home might be Minella Voucher, providing he can bounce back from a below par effort at Worcester last time.
Prediction : 1st Flying Verse 2nd Minella Voucher 3rd On Time

GAULOIS has been in excellent form of late, and is 2-2 here, so although giving the weight away to Heronord won't be easy, Paul Nicholls' six-year-old is fancied to win again with Tom Buckley on board. Heronord was only a length behind him two starts ago so should give him plenty to think about, despite slightly disappointing at Fontwell last time. Coconut Twist might fare best of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Gaulois 2nd Heronord 3rd Coconut Twist

A few with questions to answer here, so dual C&D winner VALENTINO looks the most solid option. Jackie Du Plessis' seven-year-old goes well fresh so a 124-day absence is of little concern and, with the likelihood of much more to come, he could be tough to beat with most of his rivals looking fairly exposed. If the forecast rain arrives, Umbrigado would be a danger to all, while Geordie Des Champs is another that could go well for the Rebecca Curtis team.
Prediction : 1st Valentino 2nd Umbrigado 3rd Geordie Des Champs

It is hard to look past the Dan Skelton-trained PERCY'S WORD, who drops in class following an encouraging third on his latest outing at Fontwell over an extended 2m1f. He is well ahead of these rivals on official figures and will take an awful lot of beating. Blazer's Mill seems his biggest threat stepping up in distance, while Yaazaain looks next best.
Prediction : 1st Percys Word 2nd Blazers Mill 3rd Yaazaain

A chance can be taken with LITTLE JESSTURE to follow up her latest win at this track and, given all four of her career wins have come at this course, she looks more than capable of reproducing her most recent effort down in trip. The class dropping Galah would be dangerous to dismiss given the stable she represents, along with Belle Na Bann, who struck at Fontwell last time.
Prediction : 1st Little Jessture 2nd Galah 3rd Belle Na Bann

HUELGOAT didn't show a great deal over hurdles, but he's related to some smart chasers and might prove a different animal over the larger obstacles. Getaman has been in fine fettle of late and is likely to be on the premises once again, while Coal Stock will be a threat to all if lining up (third at Stratford on Saturday). Voodoo Doll was tailed off on his only chase start to date and will need to show significant improvement.
Prediction : 1st Huelgoat 2nd Getaman 3rd Coal Stock

BOBBY SOCKS sets the standard with two second-placed efforts to his name and is expected to overcome a five-month break to land the spoils, representing a trainer that excels in this sphere. Wot You Wearing could improve for the addition of first-time cheekpieces and is considered, while Stancheski, who is related to high-class bumper winner Cousin Vinny, makes plenty of appeal on his racecourse bow.
Prediction : 1st Bobby Socks 2nd Wot You Wearing 3rd Stancheski
