Following a 5/1 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three selections for today's action.

The Eve Johnson Houghton trained RAGE OF BAMBY (best priced at 11/8) made a winning debut at Newbury in June and despite having to concede 3lbs to the field, she should hold strong claims of remaining unbeaten. The daughter of Saxon Warrior beat the more experienced Dandy Alys by a short head and that rival has since boosted the form with a win at Nottingham and a close second in the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket.
Rage Of Bamby stayed on well to lead over the 6f trip on debut shaping like this step up to 7f would suit her and I expect her to prove hard to beat before contesting group races later this season.

This drop in class for the Grant Tuer trained SWINGING EDDIE (best priced at 11/1) should mean that he can be more competitive than in his recent starts and I expect him to outrun his odds. The six-year-old won off a mark of 65 over this course and distance in August 2021 before finishing 3rd over this course and distance in May off a mark of 64. Both of those races were 0-65 handicaps and he now drops back down to a 0-65 handicap having contested 0-70 or 0-80 handicaps on his previous four starts.
Swinging Eddie won earlier this season at Ayr off a mark of 65 so he is back down to his last winning mark and I expect him to run well under regular rider Oli Stammers with five places on offer.

The Andrew Balding trained WHIMSY (best priced at 5/2) has won both of her starts on turf in her career and she should hold strong claims in this race. She disappointed on both of her starts as a juvenile but has looked progressive so far this season. The daughter of Charming Thought won a novice race at Salisbury on her first start on turf beating the now 75 rated Bellstreet Bridie off level weights before following up over 1m4f to win a handicap by 3 ½ lengths off a mark of 71.
The handicapper raised Whimsy 5lbs for that victory up to a mark of 76 where she ran well to finish 2nd at Kempton and she should now prove hard to beat back on turf off the same mark.
