With two wins from his last three I’m expecting another big run from METAHORSE at Chester on Friday. Arguably his most impressive performance came at this track over 6f in July and he proved himself up to this trip following up at Thirsk. That was obviously a fiercely competitive race at York last month and he wasn’t disgraced held up and never able to land a blow. These are much calmer waters and he still has a fair bit of potential off his current mark. Ludo’s Landing showed a good attitude to win at Carlisle and certainly wasn’t disgraced beaten less than a length at Kempton last time so could be the danger. Sanks A Million doesn’t know how to run a bad race and missed by just a neck on handicap debut last time so is another colt that deserves a mention in here in what looks a decent race.

The way VEE SIGHT won at this track back in June was very impressive and while he has been beaten twice since he hasn’t done much wrong. He was just given too much to do when fourth behind Warren Point at Goodwood and that looks strong form anyway. He backed that up to finish third over C&D last month reversing that Goodwood form with Migdam. He has only had the six starts and just three in a handicap so you’d be foolish to rule out further improvement.

Misty Dancer clocked a career best to win at Goodwood last time and might have more to come now handicapping so is another one worth noting. Dal Mallart looked a nice horse beating Maytree Respite over C&D in July and if you can forgive that Salisbury run back on this easier surface she might run better than her odds suggest.
