I’m surprised Invincible Spirit colt MUTAANY is as big as 6/1 for this. He looked to need his first two starts finishing down the field at Haydock on debut before chasing home Marbaan to finish second at Nottingham in June. Freshened up he clearly improved to get within a length and a half of victory at Wolverhampton last month. He was ridden positively on that occasion and came five lengths clear with the winner at the finish.

He goes handicapping now off an opening mark of just 79 and I can see him improving enough to be a massive player here. Princeville has form of 212 and is the obvious danger. He was turned over at odds-on last time though so needs to bounce back from that. Zaman Jemil was well backed to win at Newcastle but a 10lb rise looks harsh even if he is open to further improvement. Celtic Champion is another one noted after winning at Salisbury last time.
