The Blue Panther bounced back to form when fitted with cheekpieces at Gowran Park last time and has plenty of ability but he can't wear the headgear on the beach. Gegenpressing is the other last time out winner in the field and also has to come into calculations. The form of his win at Sligo was boosted with the runner-up Ducky Mallon scoring since.

SAMROGUE may be able to follow up on her win at Cork in July. The Pride Of Dubai filly was very consistent on the all-weather at Dundalk last winter but had struggled a bit on turf before a cosy win last time. She won off a 2lb lower mark at Dundalk in March so should be competitive off this rating. Tammany Hall chased home impressive winner Hodd's Girl at Naas last time and off just a pound higher mark he is entitled to play a big part in this. Caesar's Comet bounced back to winning ways at Bellewstown recently but an 8lb rise for that win looks plenty and he hasn't always been the most straightforward.

PRAYING MANTIS is the starting point after clocking up successive victories in a Thirsk seller and a Gowran Park handicap (on her first start for Ado McGuinness). She got 10lb for that latest success, but is best in at the weights in this claimer. She didn't trouble the judge on a previous visit to Laytown (sixth over 6f last year), but comes here in much better form and has been placed on the Polytrack in Dundalk. Lion Ring was runner-up over 7f on the all-weather track in Lingfield last year. He is a long-standing maiden, but has run some decent races in Ireland particularly when third at Down Royal in July and runner-up at the Curragh last month. Nevada Queen and Rosie Rock are others to note.

True Artist has more than enough ability to be a major contender in this maiden, however, he refused to race in Clonmel and also did the same at the Curragh in March, so comes with risks. He had three runner-up berths in between those races, though, so you can see why connections are sending him to the beach to try and reinvigorate him. YESTER could get a handy lead on his first start for Tom McCourt. He was a notable third over this trip at Leopardstown in May and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. Colin Keane has been booked for the ride. The form of Dermot Weld's stable means Coeur D'or could show up well. The Penny showed more when third at the Curragh and could build upon that. I Know I Can ran as well as could be expected in third behind the market principals at Roscommon. He has form on the sand at Dundalk. Two Two Time has been bought out of Britain and is worth checking in the market ahead of her first start for Ado McGuinness.

The way DREAM TODAY chased home his classy stablemate Harry's Bar (rated 110) over 6f in Dundalk bodes well for this assignment. Furthermore, he races off his turf mark today which is 12lb lower than the rating of 92 he ran off in Dundalk. He has Patrick Mullins' assistance. Mary Salome is a real credit to connections and is running ever so consistently. She was fourth in this race last year and has every chance of bettering that. Killarney winner Eloquent Arthur will have his supporters. A strong trio of reserves are awaiting a run.

The 93-rated ALESSANDRO ALGARDI is hard to get away from. He is a former Cork maiden winner who was just three quarters of a length behind a 98-rated winner in second at Tipperary last month, so is race fit. Cordouan is rated 3lb inferior to Alessandro Algardi. He was a close second in two races before getting off the mark for John Gosden in emphatic style at Newcastle. The almost 17-month lay-off is an obvious concern, however, Ado McGuinness is more than adept at doing well with horses sourced from Britain. Patrick Mullins is a good booking. Camdeboo, a stablemate of the selection, has been mixing in decent company and is dangerous. These Days hasn't been out since finishing third in this race last season. He had a lengthy absence before that run, so could get in the mix again.
