Prydwen ran well when third off this mark at Lingfield last month and he looks set to give it another good go.

TEQUILAMOCKINGBIRD is unbeaten on the all-weather after her victory at Kempton last month and she seemingly won with a bit to spare on that occasion, so a 4lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold showing. Sanitiser is another contender with a perfect record on artificial surfaces, but a penalty for his win at Windsor last week makes life tougher. With that in mind, the one to chase the selection home might be Bizarre Law down 1lb for his latest run at Kempton a fortnight ago.

GOLDEN MAYFLOWER has been set some pretty tough tasks this summer, struggling in Listed company at Newbury in May before finishing midfield in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot a month later. Dropped to a mark of 81, Amy Murphy's filly may improve for a wind operation and could go well here. Galiac has been running consistently well of late and a 2lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold showing after a good second at Newcastle a fortnight ago, while City Runner won his only previous visit here and is another for the shortlist.

A chance can be taken with the down-in-grade EAGLEWAY on his return to the all-weather. He was outpaced in a competitive handicap at Ascot in July, but now drops back to his last winning mark, which coincidentally came over this C&D in January. Ffion finished fifth on her most recent outing at Lingfield and should be feared, along with Buckshaw Village, who kept on well to win last time.

It is likely that Fai Fai needed his last run and he is entitled to improve in a first-time visor, but WATER OF LEITH steps back up to 6f following a handful of creditable efforts over 5f. He finished a decent fourth at Ascot last weekend and, given he faced stiffer opposition on that occasion, the four-year-old can improve now down in class. King Of Tonga is another to note based on recent evidence.

In an open event, marginal preference is for THUNDER BALL. Paul & Oliver Cole's gelding was narrowly denied at Lingfield on his handicap debut last Wednesday, but he is 3lb well in and is taken to go one better. New Hope Bullet bids for a hat-trick of victories, having been awarded the race at Sandown last month, and he could have more to offer, while Storm Venture has the potential to improve on his all-weather debut. Michaela's Boy and Harry Brown might not be far away either.

SHOW ME SHOW ME got up late to land the spoils at Newcastle last month and a 3lb rise for that success may underestimate him. With a handful of confirmed front runners in this, Richard Fahey's charge should get a decent pace to aim at, so he gets the vote to follow up. Equality bounced back to form at Windsor last time out and looks set to go well along with Soul Seeker.
