Paddy Twomey is having a fantastic season so far and one of the highlights will be rise from a mark of 77 to 106 for EARL OF TYRONE (best priced at 5/1). The four-year-old has won three times so far this season including an impressive victory over the now 110 rated Raise You in a listed race at Limerick in June. That rival has since boosted the form by winning the Irish St Leger trial and he now looks the main danger to Ascot Gold Cup winner Kyprios on Sunday.
Earl Of Tyrone ran well to finish a close 3rd in the Ebor handicap at York last month off a mark of 103 and he looks worth backing up in class to Group 3 level with four places on offer.

Colin Keane was seen to great effect when partnering Westover to win the Irish Derby and his booking on MISHRIFF (best priced at 9/2) looks a huge positive. The five-year-old is incredibly consistent and is unlucky not to have won so far this season. The three-time Group 1 winner was only beaten a neck by the reopposing Vadeni in the Coral Eclipse on his reappearance when not getting the clearest of runs before finishing 3rd in the King George at Ascot when blowing the start.
Mishriff finished 2nd behind Baaeed in the Juddmonte International last time but with three bookmakers still offering three places on this race despite there only being seven runners, he looks the obvious each way selection in this race.

The Dermot Weld yard have bounced back to form in the last couple of weeks with 6 winners from 15 runners and that is the perfect time for HOMELESS SONGS (best priced at 11/10) to return from her 111 day break. The three-year-old has won both of her starts this season including a Group 3 victory at this course on her reappearance.
Homeless Songs was really impressive when winning the Irish 1000 Guineas by five lengths earlier this season and I am hoping that connections can be rewarded for their patience by winning this race. Saffron Beach looks the biggest danger following her win in the Prix Rothschild last time but in receipt of 5lbs, Homeless Songs should prove hard to beat.
