13:30 Worcester

Not long until the Jumps will be back in full swing and I’m going to head to Worcester for my first Notebook selection on Monday. SKATMAN made a winning start over fences at Newton Abbot back in June where his two rivals failed to finish. Story Of Friends suffered an injury sadly and was pulled up after the first and then Lakota Warrior fell when coming back to him 2 out. I still liked the way he jumped in the main and he came there as if he was going to win anyway. His form over hurdles stacks up and he is clearly a nice prospect. He comes back in trip slightly here but that won’t bother him given he had enough speed to win over virtually 2 miles over hurdles. Aviewtosea looks the danger as he is already 2 from 3 over fences and up another 5lb should still run well. Punxsutawney Phil also deserves a mention off the back of that Stratford win.

There has been a lot of money overnight for Frankel filly PRIMI ORDINIS and it is easy to see why. She ran in a really hot race on debut at Sandown behind Emily Upjohn and looked to need the experience that day held up in last trio and failing to get involved. She was given a bit of time after that but stepped forward to finish fourth at Ffos Las in July and that race has worked out notably well since too. The winner Postmark won a fiercely competitive race at the Racing League and the third Caph Star looked a nice prospect winning at this track last month. She then ran third at Windsor again shaping like a longer trip is what she would prefer. She goes up to a mile and a half for the first time here and an opening mark of 75 could prove lenient. Bunker Bay looks the danger but needs to prove himself over the trip.
