I’m going to take a chance on one at a price on Tuesday in the shape of MANHATTANVILLE for Ed Dunlop. This horse won twice on the AW as a 2yo and has been performing creditably on turf so far this season. His form has plenty of substance having got within a length of victory when second to Kitsune Power at Leicester and then another big run in defeat when second to Cliffcake at Thirsk. He was held up at Chester and was forced to come wide so only really got going when the race was over. I’m happy to forgive him that run in an apprentice event at Yarmouth and freshened up since back on the AW with Rob Hornby up for the first time I can see him going close. He could be very well handicapped off a mark of 78 so 9/1 makes plenty of appeal. Dynamic Talent is likeable and clocked a career best at Lingfield so looks the danger. Dayman is also feared if they go a good gallop.
