The way VEE SIGHT won at Sandown back in June was very impressive and while he has been beaten twice since he hasn’t done much wrong. He was just given too much to do when fourth behind Warren Point at Goodwood and that looks strong form anyway. He backed that up to finish third back at Sandown last month reversing that Goodwood form with Migdam. He has only had the 6 starts and just 3 in a handicap so you’d be foolish to rule out further improvement. Secret Box made a winning handicap debut up to this trip at Sandown but was behind the selection on reappearance and has work to do to close that gap. Ascending was a big eye-catcher behind Lawful Command and then confirmed that to win at Goodwood was was nearest finish latest. This stiffer test will suit and he is the danger.

With 2 wins from his last 3 now SHIMMERING SANDS is progressing nicely and it’s interesting connections decided against dropping him back to a mile here yesterday. Instead he goes significantly up in trip and if he improves for it he will be tough to beat here. Perhaps it is due to the weather as the rain looks to have cleared up so the ground is drying out all the time. He is a strong travelling sort who should be covered up before looking to use that turn of foot. Valley Of Flowers continues to knock on the door and was only beaten 3 lengths into second at Southwell last time so won’t be far away again. Aighear was off the mark at Hamilton last month and wasn’t disgraced at Carlisle having travelled fairly well into it. She might still be in form here so is also noted but needs more against the selection.
