Plenty of in-form contenders clash here, but the one to side with might be Jessica Macey's mare TRINITY GIRL after her second at this track on her latest start. She finished just behind Wynter Wildes that day, but taking into account Oisin McSweeney's 5lb claim, she's weighted to reverse the form with that rival. Wynter Wildes is set to give it another good go, though, while hat-trick seeker Sarsons Risk is another who won't go down without a fight.
Prediction : 1st Trinity Girl 2nd Wynter Wildes 3rd Sarsons Risk

Another ferociously tricky puzzle to solve, but EEETEE still looked ahead of his mark when winning comfortably at York and a 5lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold showing if he handles the surface on his first start on the all-weather in the UK. Tregony is now 2-2 at Newcastle and although this mark demands more, Clive Cox's filly will be tough to keep out of the frame. Fearless Bay is another contender with a 100% record at the track and he's one to keep a close eye on.
Prediction : 1st Eeetee 2nd Tregony 3rd Fearless Bay

It might be worth taking a chance on the most unexposed horse in the field in the shape of GOLDEN MAYFLOWER. Amy Murphy's filly has been set some tough tasks this year, disappointing in Listed company at Newbury and then finding the Sandringham at Royal Ascot too hot. If she's been freshened up by a break, she could go well at a big price. Don't Tell Claire and Menai Bridge are both C&D winners who are also fancied to go close.
Prediction : 1st Golden Mayflower 2nd Dont Tell Claire 3rd Menai Bridge

FRESH HOPE looks the one to be with again here after she returned to winning ways over C&D three weeks ago, and a 3lb rise looks more than manageable for Charlie Fellowes' daughter of New Approach. Ffion wasn't disgraced when fifth in a similar contest at Lingfield last month and with this stiffer test likely to suit, David Loughnane's mare is fancied to go well. Out From Under is another in-form candidate who should be considered with Frankie Dettori on board.
Prediction : 1st Fresh Hope 2nd Ffion 3rd Out From Under

Although his opening mark is no gift, YACOWLEF has probably earned it with some promising runs in hot maidens at York and Goodwood, so Paul Cole's colt is fancied to get off the mark on his first start in a nursery. Kitbag is another handicap debutant who could go well after he was third behind a very promising youngster at Haydock but the one to chase the selection home might be Magical Merlin, following his victory at Windsor last month.
Prediction : 1st Yacowlef 2nd Magical Merlin 3rd Kitbag

20:15 Newcastle

It's still very early days for LIR SPECIALE so Roger Varian's three-year-old can be expected to take a 4lb rise in his stride following his narrow victory at Windsor just a fortnight ago. Badri has been in fine fettle of late and if he continues to hold his form, Ruth Carr's gelding should be on the premises again. Temple Bruer is another who has been running really well and although this is tougher, he's not ruled out in his current mood.
Prediction : 1st Lir Speciale 2nd Badri 3rd Temple Bruer

20:45 Newcastle

Plenty with chances here, but the most interesting contender might be the bottom-weight ELANORA after a good second last week on the beach at Laytown. Taking into account Tyler Heard's claim, the daughter of No Nay Never looks weighted to score on some of her very best form. Show Me Show Me narrowly won here last time and a 3lb rise might not prevent another bold showing, but the primary threat could come in the shape of the in-form Many A Star.
Prediction : 1st Elanora 2nd Many A Star 3rd Show Me Show Me
