The son of Frankel is out of a full-sister to Bronze Cannon, who was trained by John Gosden when he won here as a juvenile, so any family traits passed on will be familiar to the trainer. The colt looks worth chancing in an ordinary-looking maiden. Firebolt was a clear second to a useful type at Catterick last time and is likely to be thereabouts once more. Hexameter already has a good bit of experience to draw from and sets a fair standard based on her official rating of 80.

Julia Fielden's filly improved for the step up to this trip last time out and could be decent value in the betting to reverse Chelmsford form with the top weight from June. Drum Brae Boy ran well on his nursery debut when third here at the start of the month and is open to further progression.

This could revolve around one horse, SOLAR ORBITER, who created a striking impression when winning at Newcastle 14 days ago. The son of Showcasing was well supported throughout the day and despite the fact he needs to concede weight to all of his rivals, Roger Varian's colt appears to be more than capable of doing so. Well-bred newcomer Pussycat Eyes could prove the chief threat if the market vibes are positive, with Shin Saw Gyi rating best of the rest given two solid performances to date.

MUMAYAZ endured a torrid passage here 12 days ago over a shorter distance, but ran on nicely to finish fifth and, dropped 2lb for that effort by the handicapper, he could gain his first success of the season. Falesia Beach rates the chief threat after some solid runs in handicap company and a win in novice company at Chepstow last month showed the filly is still in good heart. Global Warning appears best of the remainder after a good second at Wolverhampton in August.

LUTTRELL LAD has found things happening a little bit quickly for him over shorter recently and an opening mark of 77 appears to be workable. He gets the vote to gain a first success on the Flat, with the extra distance here very much in his favour. Mukha Magic has been in excellent form of late, bringing up the hat-trick at Chelmsford last month, and a 4lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold showing. Mountain Road went close over C&D last time and won't be far away once again.

CABINET MAKER struggled in the London Mile Series Final here a fortnight ago, but this is more his level and, with Richard Kingscote back in the saddle, he is taken to get back on track on this occasion. Plastic Paddy goes for the hat-trick after a comfortable victory at Chelmsford last week and a 5lb penalty shouldn't stop him going close again, while Snapcracklepop is another to consider if bouncing back from a below-par effort at Windsor last time.
