Installation sports a first-time visor in an attempt to recapture the form that carried him into third behind Cold Case at York and he is feared most, ahead of Queenie Rooney.

Selby's Pride seemed to benefit from a drop in class on her latest outing, and a 3lb higher mark for that C&D win seems lenient given she kept on to score by a length. However, a chance can still be taken with LITTLE MISS DYNAMO, who was runner-up to Selby's Pride in that contest but now receives 4lb from her rival as opposed to 1lb. Miss Bella Brand also merits consideration.

Connections of GIFTED RULER now reach for cheekpieces in an attempt to see their gelding rediscover some sparkle. He wasn't disgraced in seventh in a competitive handicap at Chester at the end of July and he is expected to relish the drop in class. Grifter recorded a much-improved fifth at Beverley over the extended mile last month and could be the main threat, while Zuraig looks best of the rest.

GENTLE ELLEN took a step forward when breaking through at Ayr and if she's able to reproduce that form back in handicap company, another bold bid can be expected. David and Nicola Barron's three-year-old ran off a mark of 72 on her previous handicap outing, and this mark of 69 should be more workable. Caleta Sunrise was a solid second in a Catterick novice event, while Clarets Glory has been dropped 2lb for a length-and-a-half defeat at Wolverhampton.

SHESADABBER has been a model of consistency this season and she got her head in front again after a couple of seconds over 5f at Chepstow recently. The Michael Mullineaux-trained six-year-old has been raised 4lb for that length-and-a-quarter success, and that may prove lenient. Birdie Bowers also arrives in winning form, but the handicapper is catching up. Basholo is another to note.

CLAN JOCK hasn't finished out of the first two in his last six visits to Hamilton and is hard to get away from after another strong, staying-on effort over a patently inadequate 1m1f here. Prior to that, he'd just been edged out over C&D on soft ground and a repeat of that performance would make him tough to beat, though Ralphy Boy Two is better than he showed in that race (missed the break) having won over C&D in testing conditions previously. Haven Lady justified favouritism at Newcastle but has yet to convince that an easy surface suits.

Kanzino, who was bought in for a five-figure sum after easily landing a Ripon seller, is the only previous winner in this field but his opening mark looks high enough, a comment which may also apply to Hugo Palmer's Cheshire raider Salve Japan. Instead it might pay to concentrate on the more experienced pair of Super Stars and A LA FRANCAISE, with both appearing to take a step forward last time, particularly the latter, who clearly relished the step up to this trip when third at Southwell.
