TEXAS BOY's form is nothing special but he receives plenty weight from his principal dangers. His best form is on easy ground but operates well at this distance, ran well at Naas four days ago where he beat Approaching Bear (now tried in blinkers) by half a length and meets that rival 15lb better off. The selection beat Camilla Gherardini by 1.25 lengths in a May maiden and is now 21lb better off with that rival. Blindsided won a similar claimer at Tipperary and while that form is ordinary, his rider again claims 7lb and should run a solid race. Skip James showed promise on debut but was gelded subsequently and disappointed on Cork reappearance, albeit on testing ground. Jackstaff looks flattered by his 82 rating and disappointed over a shorter trip at Navan in August. Trident Star showed little on Galway debut on soft ground.
Prediction : 1st Texas Boy 2nd Blindsided 3rd Approaching Bear

NATIVE QUEEN has shown good ability in two runs, which were 11 months apart. She reappeared following a 313 days layoff when running a fine race in defeat at Navan and with progression likely, should take beating from stall 1. Blazing Skies was two lengths behind the selection at Navan, when hanging left, and while she will be better suited to better ground, might nonetheless struggle to turn form. Accomplished ran well over this distance at Gowran, likes a sound surface and can get involved for the placings. Vadiana was behind Accomplished at Gowran and can progress but is badly draw in 19. Toriangel, sixth in the Gowran race, had previously finished a head ahead of So Beautiful at the Curragh, which suggests So Beautiful has plenty to prove.
Prediction : 1st Native Queen 2nd Blazing Skies 3rd Accomplished

MULLACASH BUZZ continues, as his trainer predicted, to progress and has claims despite being 5lb higher than when winning at Roscommon. He is ideally suited by this distance and today's good ground, has a good draw in 3 and is helped by having his usual rider in this apprentice race. Five-time winner Hodd's Girl is in excellent form and seemed to improve stepping up to this distance when winning at Dundalk on Friday. She competes from a career high rating under a fixed 7lb penalty, and while she could continue to progress at this distance, is badly drawn in 20. Dabana, running in a first-time visor, is interesting on handicap debut. Some of her maiden form is quite strong and while she should win a handicap from her 73 rating, lacks a recent run and meets experienced rivals. All Royal Scholar's best form is on the all-weather and while he will be suited by drying ground, would prefer a mile. Yester is a 14-race maiden but is well suited to this distance and ran well at Laytown.
Prediction : 1st Mullacash Buzz 2nd Hodds Girl 3rd Dabana

SHANGHAI DRAGON is progressive and can defy her latest 6lb ratings' rise. She drops back in distance having won over a mile at Leopardstown but is suited to fast ground and, being a three year old, can improve some more. Perfect Thunder, also three, was outclassed in a Group 3 when in July but reverts to handicaps. She has a favourable rating and while her lack of a recent run isn't a concern given she was withdrawn from a race (due to fast ground) on August 11, could be inconvenienced by drying ground. Affable is ground-versatile and while not ahead of the handicapper, continues to run well and likes this distance. Bells On Her Toes has been running well but would prefer easy ground while Claonadh's rating has fallen but is another who would prefer an ease. Corporal Violette was post race normal having disappointed at Naas but has claims on previous form.
Prediction : 1st Shanghai Dragon 2nd Affable 3rd Bells On Her Toes

MIDNIGHT TOKER was behind As It Was and Thunderbear at Navan last month but might turn form. Beaten two lengths by winner As It Was, the selection is now 8lb better off and comes here a fresher horse, with As It Was being beaten in a valuable sales race subsequently. Thunderbear was a one-length second in the Navan race and while 9lb better off with As It Was, disappointed at Dundalk on Friday. Reinforce was reported to be 'feeling the ground' on a quick surface when disappointing on nursery debut at the Curragh last month but had nonetheless shown form on fast ground this summer and is on a retrieval mission. Pretty Persuasion was well behind As It Was at Navan in July and was well held in a nursery on Thursday.
Prediction : 1st Midnight Toker 2nd As It Was 3rd Thunderbear

A debut winner over C&D in July, CORALILLO was drawn on the wrong side in a valuable sales race at Naas next time. She showed her worth when travelling like a winner for a long way in a Group 3 at the Curragh last time, eventually beaten fractions in third with Daamberdiplomat a couple of lengths further back in sixth. Deneuve, a debut winner at Naas, was last of five when taking on colts in the Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh in May. Not seen since, it wouldn't be a surprise if she proved much more competitive in this. English raider Lady Bullet was sixth in the Albany after winning her first two starts but was well beaten against colts at Sandown last time. Dropping back to 6f may help and her trainer won a similar event at Naas in July. Ocean Jewel may not have beaten much over 5f at Down Royal, but she won readily that day and may not be out of place.
Prediction : 1st Coralillo 2nd Deneuve 3rd Ocean Jewel

Ten-race maiden BASIA travelled well when third over 7f at Roscommon and looks well worth a try over this shorter trip. That was her best effort to date, she has a good draw and her trainer continues in fine form. Andromedas Kingdom has caught the eye on more than one occasion this term and returns from a break. She was fourth in a maximum field handicap at the Curragh when last seen in June and the blinkers applied for the first time on that occasion are retained. Markievicz, from a yard that has returned to form of late, was the winner of that 30-runner contest at the Curragh and is now only 4lb higher in the ratings after a few unplaced efforts subsequently. Aloysius Lilius was a winner over this trip at Naas last season and was touched off on his reappearance at Down Royal in July.
Prediction : 1st Basia 2nd Andromedas Kingdom 3rd Markievicz

Top-weight SECRET ROAD won over this trip at Cork last term and ran really well when second over C&D in July. The winner scored again at Laytown recently and Gerry Keane's charge should have every chance off a 2lb higher mark, especially if the first-time visor has the desired effect. Empress Of Bough may not have been suited by soft ground last time but ran very well when second at Cork previously and also ran well in a maiden at this venue earlier in the summer. She goes well for her young rider. Rocky Dreams is a five-time winner on all-weather tracks but has yet to win on turf. He's run quite well in a slightly higher grade in his last two outings at the Curragh and has a chance from a decent draw.
Prediction : 1st Secret Road 2nd Empress Of Bough 3rd Rocky Dreams
