I thought BELIEVE IN STARS was a big eye-catcher on debut at Nottingham. He was held up right off the pace and just ran green when asked to try and get involved. The penny did start to drop a couple of furlongs out but he was just too far back in the end. Mark Crehan wasn’t hard on him though and he closed up nicely at the finish. That was back in April so Stoute has given him a fair bit of time to mature which is interesting. I think we’ll see a much more switched on colt now and this looks a good opportunity for him to get is head in front. Golden Horn colt Dubai Leader won at Windsor when last seen and could be one of the dangers in a first-time hood. Deferred was fourth at Ffos Las last month and can improve now. With Roger Varian in such good form he might actually be the main danger.

I know One World will likely be quite a warm order for this but I thought there was value in opposing with FORCEFUL SPEED. This flashy chestnut colt improved to make a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton last week. He still looked quite raw when coming through and this won’t be easy under a penalty but I think he can improve a fair bit from that and if he does he will have a live chance of springing the upset. One World has been turned over as favourite the last twice and is clearly far from straightforward. Sea The Stars colt Limerick Bound could have a bright future but he needed the outing on debut at Salisbury and probably requires more time. Ironopolis goes up in trip but needs more on what we’ve seen. Star Start and Super Spy are hard to recommend and are likely to find this too hot.
