The son of Mehmas may have his work cut out though giving 7lb to recent C&D winner HAVANA BY THE SEA, who ran a cracker in the valuable sales race at York's Ebor Festival before that. Craig Lidster's charge could easily have plenty more improvement in the locker and she is preferred to Thirsk winner Zuffolo and Miss Brazen.

ACKLAM EXPRESS looks to have a good chance of gaining his first success of the season. The son of Meham is 5lb clear on the ratings and, with the drop in class and the conditions of the race looking in his favour, he looks the one to beat. Judicial can be forgiven for his latest run on loose ground and better can be expected. He heads the list of dangers from King Of Stars, who has been running well at Listed level of late.

There looks to be little separating Runaholic, Mawada and IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU on form, but preference is for the latter. Slowly away on debut, the son of Highland Reel ran on nicely to finish a never-nearer third and, if learning from that experience, he could take some stopping. Runaholic could prove the chief threat ahead of the filly Mawada, who ran a solid race here 24 days ago.

Autumn Festival is sure to be popular after notching up a hat-trick of wins, but his last defeat was over C&D off a 14lb lower mark, so it might be worth taking him on. The son of Shalaa has only been nudged up 2lb for his Epsom success and he should still find himself competitive.

An open event to round out proceedings on the Westwood and marginal preference is for MOTARAJEL. Tim Easterby's charge was denied a clear run in a 0-75 at Ayr last Thursday, but this represents a drop in class and, given more luck in running, he could be the answer. Stripzee won over C&D from a 2lb higher mark in July and she may fare better back here, while Zumurud, who has been running to a consistent level, is another to consider.
