TIVERTON looks ready to get off the mark. He has finished runner-up in both starts and the form appears strong. The horse that beat him at the Curragh has since delivered in Group 3 company while connections of the winner in Galway are eyeing a Group 3 for that horse. Trip and ground should be ideal for this colt who has a useful low draw. Aidan O'Brien's Boy Scout found for pressure over a similar trip in Roscommon to finish fourth. He can improve again. O'Brien has landed the last two renewals of this race. Young Ireland has had four runs and has been placed twice. He can get involved. Boy Scout's stablemate, Mohawk Chief, makes his debut and is well worth a market check. Pearl Of Australia has the best draw and is a potential improver on his third start.

ANGEL'S TRUMPET ran creditably when second in a slightly higher grade at Galway. He went down by half a length behind a winner who was effective off the front, but came home in a clear second. Leigh Roche conjured a couple of victories from him in this grade at Gowran Park in May and June. Rose Of Malta ran well when second in Cork this month in first-time cheekpieces which are retained. She is a contender. Golden Days was in good form in May and June as she clocked up a win and a close third in Cork. She returned from almost three months off with a keeping-on fourth in that aforementioned race. The Dazzer won over further at this track in June and champion jockey Colin Keane stays loyal off just 2lb higher. Praying Mantis and Super Cub are others with claims.

TRANSITION has a tough draw in stall 17 to overcome, but is proven over further and should be coming home stronger than most. He didn't run badly in fifth over 1m at this track in June and improved the following month in Killarney to take third over an extended 1m. Colin Keane is an eye-catching booking for What Adaay. This four-year-old filly attracted support in Bellewstown last month and kept on for second. Connections will see this as an opportunity for her to make the breakthrough. Baalbec Beauty has a perfect draw in stall one for a prominent racer. She is making her handicap debut and will be on many shortlists after a runner-up berth in a Curragh maiden over 6f. Veteran Fit For Function is having his 96th start. He showed that there is still fire within as he finished runner-up in Gowran Park at the end of last month.

Joseph O'Brien's GAMBE VELOCI has been staying on to post runner-up efforts in Leopardstown and Cork, and can get his turn. The 75-rated gelding sets a more than reasonable standard. Prophets Voice holds the same rating and has much more experience having had 11 outings (placed four times). He looks more exposed, however, the first-time blinkers might eke out some improvement. Fiddlers Green has one notable piece of form in the book when runner-up on debut over a similar trip at Gowran Park. He hasn't really built upon that in three subsequent appearances over further, but this trip is a positive.

DROMBEG DUKE took advantage of a lowly mark to record an impressive win on this card 12 months ago and has won twice since including at Bellewstown this spring. The selection again showed his liking for C&D when just denied in June with Mary Salome, now worse off at the weights, close behind in fourth. He has a little bit to find with topweight Dragon Of Malta on running at Roscommon last time but this meeting has probably been the main target all year. Is That Love won six times last year culminating with victory over C&D. The Ado McGuinness-trained gelding has recently dropped down into this rating band and comes here off the back of an improved run when second at Cork. Some rain would boost his chance. Clear Quartz and New York Angel are others to consider.

SELF BELIEF has been given time since winning a 20-runner maiden on debut at the Irish Derby weekend in the Curragh. That race has since thrown up a number of winners and runner-up Paris Peacock has really advertised the form winning a Listed race at Gowran and returning there on Saturday to land a Group 3. This extra furlong looks sure to suit the selection, although the ground would not want to dry out too much. Charterhouse has certainly enjoyed the Kerry air this summer winning twice at Killarney including the Listed Ruby Stakes last month. Sh Boom enters calculations on her third to Pearls Galore in the Group 2 Lanwades Stud Stakes at the Curragh in May, while Alizarine can't be discounted on the form of her second in the Oaks Trail at Naas.

TIYMARA has shown promise in three maiden outings and is bred to appreciate this step up to a mile. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly didn't enjoy the clearest passage last time when third to Spirit Genie and Betterdaysrcoming at Roscommon and the form of that race has been working out well since. Spirit Genie's trainer Jessica Harrington is doubly represented and Shane Foley sides with Dubawi Spectre. He was far from disgraced behind Auguste Rodin at Naas and that winner has since followed up in a Group 2 at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend. Lord Massusus had Saturday's impressive winner Mister Mister behind when beating all bar National Emblem at Gowran, while Leopardstown winner With Love takes a drop in class after a couple of runs in Group races.

EARLS has been a model of consistency this year and the discarding of blinkers has proved fruitful when scoring on his latest two starts at Roscommon. The handicapper certainly hasn't been severe in giving the five-year-old a combined rise of 6lb for those victories and he should make a bold bid to complete a hat-trick. Plunkett beat the selection in decisive fashion at Leopardstown back in June and is still competitive off a higher mark. He was very unlucky in running at Galway last time and rates the chief threat. Comfort Line also went close in that same Galway rated race. Howyoulikethat also won at Leopardstown this summer but got a 9lb hike after running well in a conditions race at Punchestown last week.
