Runner-up on three of his last four starts, MAKE A PROPHET deserves a change in luck and it might just be that this step up in trip is the making of him. The three-year-old remains on a workable mark and he is narrowly preferred to the unexposed Glenister, who was put in his place as a short-priced favourite at Southwell last month. Citizen General is another who has been running consistently well of late.

A determined winner over this distance at Nottingham on his penultimate start, TIBERIO FORCE wasn't seen to best effect over further when placed at Ripon on his most recent outing. Simon Whitaker's charge remains relatively unexposed and returning to his optimum trip can see him get the better of Beverley second Oscar Doodle and Balqaa, who was a winner here in January off 5lb higher.

This is not a particularly strong affair, but it may pay to side with QUERCUS ROBUR, who seems to be getting the hang of things of late. Not beaten far on either of his last two starts, the son of Camelot could be primed to break the maiden at the eighth time of asking. Broctune Azure doesn't have much to find with the selection on their run at Ayr and he can have a say along with Hildenley and International Law.

One World intrigues stepping up to a mile and a quarter on his first start following a gelding operation, and the added quarter of a mile may see him improve on recent efforts. FORCEFUL SPEED is narrowly preferred, though. He was all out to win last week over a fraction shorter, getting up to score by a short head, and may be even happier over this extended distance. Limerick Bound is bred for stamina and may do better after disappointing on his Salisbury debut.

With the majority making their racecourse debuts this is a tough race to call, but form points to the chances of CHASSERAL, who finished third on her first three starts and makes her all-weather debut here. She has raced too freely so far, but might be a different proposition if she settles better. George Boughey trained the winner last year suggesting newcomer Calluna is worth a market watch, while More Than Desire is related to some speedy sorts and is another to consider.

LADY LOU represents the in-form Michael Dods yard and she showed some of her better form on her return to the all-weather when third at Southwell last month. She is yet to win over the mile after two attempts, but she may have been found a decent opportunity. Rocket Dancer has won two of his five starts here, both over C&D with one off a higher mark, and he deserves consideration, though Reclaim Victory may be the bigger danger after a win and two thirds from her last four starts.

WADACRE GRACE got off the mark over C&D on her return to action earlier this month, taking a marked step forward on what she had shown previously. The daughter of Brazen Beau was raised 6lb for that success, but she remains unexposed. Novak finished three and a quarter lengths behind the selection on that occasion, but he might be able to bridge the gap on revised terms. Saisons D'Or competes off his last winning mark and could mount a bold bid too.

CAMACHO STAR filled the runner-up berth on his handicap debut last time out and, with further improvement likely, he's fancied to go one better. Kevin Stott's mount will face challengers, however, and Edmund Ironside might be the pick of those. The son of Saxon Warrior has contested some strong novice events on turf and he might progress on his all-weather debut. Villemacho kept on over 6f at Carlisle earlier this month and he's one of a number who could improve for the step up in trip.
