REVENITE has to concede weight all round in today's contest, but the form of his win at Ascot 19 days ago has been boosted since, so he looks the one to beat. Noah David posted a much-improved display when third last week and he prove the chief threat to the selection if progressing once more. Big R rates best of the rest after a fair third here in August.
Prediction : 1st Revenite 2nd Noah David 3rd Big R

FIERCE just about sets the standard in today's contest, with the son of Dandy Man looking worth another go at the distance given how well he has been finishing his races over shorter. American Belle has shown a similar level of ability, but the drop in trip may prevent her from winning, albeit she is still hugely respected. Skallywag Bay rates best of the others, with the filly expected to be more competitive now she is eased in class.
Prediction : 1st Fierce 2nd American Belle 3rd Skallywag Bay

It's a tight call between Lord Uhtred and ZU RUN, but the latter gets the nod as his at Chelmsford victory has been boosted by the second since. The son of Zoustar looked an improved animal and with the conditional jockey negating the majority of the penalty in today's contest, he should go close again. Lord Uhtred was denied late on when last seen in July, but he lost little in defeat and he should give the selection most to think about if returning in the same form. Dartman is another to consider after a fair third at Newmarket last month and he could improve for the all-weather surface.
Prediction : 1st Zu Run 2nd Lord Uhtred 3rd Dartman

It would be a bit of a surprise if one of the previous winners didn't take this novice heat, and LAUREL created a deep impression when she scored at Newmarket in July. Open to any amount of improvement and in the right hands, she makes most appeal with the talented Benoit De La Sayette claiming 3lb in the plate. Pure Dignity also won at HQ earlier this year and represents a yard flying along at the moment, while One Morning won at the second time of asking and is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Laurel 2nd Pure Dignity 3rd One Morning

CRYSTAL CASQUE is probably the safe play in this handicap on the basis that she's a C&D winner and is holding her form admirably at the moment. 7lb claimer Oliver Searle got a good tune out of her when the pair scored at Salisbury two starts ago and everything points to a bold showing. Dancing To Win won easily at Lingfield latest and should go well again under jockey of the moment David Egan. Rock Melody and Flame of Freedom are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Crystal Casque 2nd Dancing To Win 3rd Flame of Freedom

SOOGHAN makes a good bit of appeal given he's an unexposed quantity representing a top yard. Stretching out to 1m6f on handicap debut at Chelmsford didn't quite yield the result connections were after, but it is still very early days and this drop back to 1m3f might just suit the Southwell scorer. Victory wouldn't be winning out of turn judged on a pair of second-placed efforts at Doncaster and Windsor this year, while Silverscape and Miramichi make each-way appeal.
Prediction : 1st Sooghan 2nd Victory 3rd Silverscape

Having travelled sweetly at Ffos Las last time, low-mileage filly ALBION PRINCESS idled once hitting the front meaning she was held to a dead-heat by Rikona. A step up in trip, coupled with a more patient ride, should see her in a better light and a 3lb rise may not be enough to prevent her from securing a first outright victory. La Belle Vie was disappointing over further at Wolverhampton last time but it was her first run for seven weeks and she's likely to be fitter here. Elsewhere, Heroic Holly may throw up some value if first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect.
Prediction : 1st Albion Princess 2nd La Belle Vie 3rd Heroic Holly

Having won on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in the spring, BRAZEN IDOL displayed a fine turn of foot to land successive 6f handicaps at Thirsk during the summer and could still plausibly be ahead of her mark despite a 4lb rise. Juanita overcame early interference to post a personal best when a close third at Windsor last time and is an obvious danger, while Agapanther was a winner on her only previous visit here, albeit over 7f, and still looks handily-treated.
Prediction : 1st Brazen Idol 2nd Juanita 3rd Agapanther
