Dual Identity to Win the Cambridgeshire Handicap @ 10/1

The first of the ‘Autumn Double’ (the Cesarewitch Handicap follows at Newmarket on Saturday 8th October) takes place at 15:40 where 29 declared runners will line up for the 1m1f Cambridgeshire Handicap. In the last two years, this event has been won by 40/1 shots Majestic Dawn and Bedouin’s Story, so it’s worth comparing the large price differentials further down the card. 

 

However, there’s one horse that is particularly appealing to Andy Holding, who explained: “The progression of DUAL IDENTITY has been very eye-catching; he won very well at Sandown two runs ago and put in an extraordinary performance back at the same track last time out.”

Joe Joyce to win in Rounds 7-12 @ 5/1

This WBO heavyweight battle may not be a title fight, but whoever comes out on top could well give themself a chance of fighting for it against Usyk.

The bookies favour Joe Joyce (4/7 best price) for this one, and he’ll have the advantage of fighting on home soil, but Parker is no stranger to the UK and will do his best to outbox the ‘Juggernaut’.

His nickname connotes one thing and that is Joyce’s knockout power. To an extent it explains his game plan too; he often has to take a few punches, and possibly lose a few early rounds to a more mobile approach, yet the threat of his knockout blow not only remains but is frequently exercised. 

Parker should exhibit exactly this in the early stages - outbox Joyce, maybe delivering a few decent blows, but Joyce’s heavy jabs and dangerous counters have stopped nearly every opponent he’s faced so far – 13 out of 14 wins have ended in a KO. We think Parker will be next.
