MY MATE MOZZIE made no impact in the Galway Hurdle but ran a fine race when fourth in a premier handicap at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend and is given another chance back over flights. He was a smart novice last term and Kieren Buckley, who rode him to finish a creditable eighth in the County Hurdle, claims a valuable 5lb. Dads Lad, in great form over fences and on the Flat this summer, looks tempting at the foot of the weights but this trip will be sharp enough for him over hurdles. Outback Flyer is an improving mare who followed up a Galway festival victory with a good second at Killarney and she's on a nice racing weight. The handicapper has come down hard on Little Big Rocky, who has been raised a stone each time for wins at Killarney and Cork.

MY FRIEND THE WIND was third over 2m4f at the June meeting here and didn't run badly when keeping on into seventh at Ballinrobe last month. His trainer rarely leaves this festival without a winner. Chief Seattle has won over hurdles and fences at Ballinrobe this summer and is holding his form well while being kept very busy. He's a dour stayer who will be played late. Chinook had Appian Way back in fifth when third at Galway but the latter, who has been a bit frustrating, might be better suited by this trip and Bryan Cooper will be hoping to pick up the pieces late in the day on him. Ceanndana was much improved in headgear when placed at Killarney and is another to consider.

BEARWITHMENOW won over this trip at Wexford on his last completed start in June and a 7lb rise is negated by the booking of a good claimer. He's open to more improvement and his trainer excels with this kind of handicapper. Ballyglass Beauty enjoyed the step up to this trip when beating an in-form rival at Kilbeggan last month and she can go well again. Camilla's Choice was back in third on that occasion and this will be just her third start in handicaps so she's another with plenty of upside. Battle Of Benburb has no stamina concerns after winning at Wexford and finishing second over 3m3f at Sedgefield but he wouldn't want the ground to ease too much.

A winner over hurdles at Limerick last Christmas, CAHIRDOWN BOY has also run well a couple of times in that sphere at this venue including when third at last year's festival. He ran quite well in two beginners' chases in August and will be primed for a big run on handicap debut. Stablemate Meehall made all to win easily over a longer trip at Killarney but an 8lb hike will make things tougher. Temptationinmilan, who went close several times in handicap hurdles last term, did well to be fourth to Carnet De Stage at Killarney after making a bad mistake on the final circuit and he's interesting in first-time cheekpieces. Presenting Bonnie has been running solid races at Kilbeggan but she's largely been kept away from left-handed tracks which has to be a concern.

DONKEY YEARS was being prepared for the Kerry National but didn't get in and is rerouted here. He won a big pot at the Punchestown festival in April when beating Recite A Prayer, who was second in Wednesday's feature, and might be able to defy a 7lb hike. Ballyshannon Rose was a talented novice last season when her form featured a Grade 2 win in mares' company at Thurles and a good second off just 1lb lower in a Naas handicap. The veteran Snugsborough Benny ran a fine race over hurdles here on Tuesday and his last run over fences saw him finish third in a useful conditions event at Galway. Kitty Galore returned from injury to run away with a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle and she had some useful form over fences last term. She could be on a decent mark.

Jamie Codd is an interesting booking for SANDHURST who has form on easy ground. A juvenile winner on heavy for Aidan O'Brien and second in last year's Chester Vase, the half-brother to Group 2 winner Aesop's Fables had been running reasonably well for his new yard until his latest outing in a premier handicap at Leopardstown where the first-time visor didn't seem to work. This is a lot less competitive and he can bounce back to form. Zaynudin hacked up in a Gowran maiden last month on his first start of the season and got a big hike in the ratings. Whether he's worthy of his new mark of 93 remains to be seen but he certainly comes into this with his confidence boosted. Monas Melody has been in fine form in staying handicaps but doesn't want it soft whereas smart chaser Castlegrace Paddy, who beat Happy Jacky in a maiden at Killarney, will appreciate an ease in the ground.

The homebred by Walk In The Park is a half-sister to smart jumpers Johns Spirit and The Game Changer. Patrick Mullins bred and rides Fun Fun Fun whose dam is a half-sister to Yorkhill. She's a leading contender starting out for the champion trainer. Gaillimh A Run, whose full-sister has won over hurdles, is another newcomer to note with Jamie Codd on board for John Kiely. She's out of a Listed bumper winner. One For Lucy ran a very good race against geldings on the opening day of the festival and is the pick of those who have form in the book.
