Galileo colt ESPIONAGE showed more than enough on debut to make him of serious interest here. He was held up at Galway and ran on well to grab second in the final few strides. His stablemate Alexandroupolis got first run and won and looks a nice colt too so the form should work out. He will know more now and as long as the drop back to 7f doesn’t catch him out he should open his account. Dark Side also showed promise finishing second to Imadpour on debut at Cork and looks the most obvious danger. He was slowly into stride and just ran a bit green on and off the bridle before keeping on into second. I didn’t think it was as taking as the selection though and he might need a bit more time and experience before he comes into his own. Djockovic is an interesting newcomer and is definitely also worth noting.

The way HODLER won over track and trip last time was impressive and with 2 wins from his last 3 now he looks progressive. The winning margin only ended up being a neck so a 2lb rise looks very manageable. Ryan Sexton is 3-3 on him claiming 5lb so clearly has developed a good partnership. The likes of Sir Titan, Macs Dilemma and even Global Esteem will ensure this is run at an end to end gallop and that should suit him. I can actually see that form line playing out again with Marlay Park the danger. He likes this track and I didn’t think he was unlucky behind the selection last time but obviously still fear he could give him a serious race again here. Whistledown impressed at Brighton coming sweeping through and is in good heart so looks to be best of the rest but this is definitely tougher so she’ll need more again.
