I can see this longer trip really suiting PRESENT STORM and given her recent form she is hard to knock here. She won a competitive race at Worcester last month, having a good look about once she hit the front before staying on strongly. She only went down a length at Uttoxeter last time bumping into a horse on the upgrade. A 4lb higher doesn’t look enough to anchor her and she should be going close. Wild Wilbur was a very good second at Plumpton but hasn’t been seen since. He’s obviously weighted to go close but has been a bit of a negative in the market this morning which would be a bit concerning. Pottlerath was behind the selection on reappearance but will strip fitter so it wouldn’t be a massive surprise if he emerged as the danger. Paris Dixie also has to be noted going up in distance here.

With both King’s Gem and Ange De L’Amour now out this race has cut up and it could be a great opportunity for FRIDAY ALREADY to open his account. This Dragon Pulse gelding showed promise when second on debut before pulling too hard up to this trip at Salisbury. Given time since he returned with an encouraging enough fourth at Windsor. They went off the front with him that day but he just did a bit too much and was vulnerable late on. That form has worked out notably well since though with the third Chasseral winning impressively at Newcastle and the runner-up Skysail scooting in at Newbury. The winner Wyoming was beaten a length next time but bumped into a smart one so it all stacks up. He can take advantage of an opening mark of 73 and looks the one to beat. Zephina won at Wolverhampton but will need more again to follow up.
