It is hard to look past DINDIN, who recently bolted up when dropping in class at Warwick a week ago. He kept on to win by 13 lengths and is entitled to follow that up in this, but Fantomas also recorded an emphatic victory on his most recent run and seems a big threat. Ten Past Midnight makes his chasing debut and is another to consider.

SEABOROUGH has held his form well lately and the manner in which he ran on for victory at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago suggested he's capable of dealing with a 3lb higher handicap mark. City Derby won over C&D when last seen and has scope for further improvement. However, he's been off since April so the race-fit Tiger Orchid might be more of a danger to the selection on this occasion.

BANNISTER posted three solid efforts during the summer and, most notably, fended off the likes of Hurricane Ali en route to victory at Worcester last month. The selection is 3lb worse-off with his old rival this time around so does need to be at his best. Elham Valley is another in-form contender who merits consideration, while Ridgeway is unexposed over hurdles and is another to monitor closely in the betting.

RED HAPPY finished a close third off a mark of 125 over hurdles two starts ago and that form sets the standard here in novice company, for all that he does take on some unexposed rivals. Festive Glory won a maiden hurdle at Worcester in good style last month and he'll almost certainly be the main danger to the selection, ahead of Cuddly Dudley.

A few with chances here, but C&D winner THE QUESTIONER made some eye-catching late progress at Uttoxeter last time when returning from a break, and he could be sharper for that outing. The Rutland Rebel has been running well enough of late and a 2lb rise for his latest second at Perth shouldn't prevent another bold showing. Barely Famous bounced back to form with a good second at Fontwell last time and she's another to consider upped further in trip.
