14:19 Lingfield

I’m sticking with the only last time out winner in the field in the shape of CLASSIC ORDER at Lingfield on Thursday. This son of No Nay Never left previous form miles behind to make a winning handicap debut at Kempton last time. He travelled strongly into that race and stayed on well relishing the step up to 7f for the first time. He has gone up 9lb but almost certainly has further improvement to come and I think he can follow up with Hector Crouch in the saddle again. The danger looks to be So Chic as the betting is suggesting. She has improved with every run and that form when third to Crystallium has plenty of substance. Nibras Rainbow is another one to note but I did think he’d get closer than he did when only fourth at Wolverhampton last time. I think he’ll need a career best to challenge the selection in what looks a good race.

20:15 Wolverhampton

Ulysses filly ICE HOUSE looks well placed to make the breakthrough now. She bounced back from that Newmarket flop to finish third on handicap debut at Catterick last time. That was a strange run in some respects as she looked to be struggling and going nowhere before running on strongly at the finish when the race was all over. The penny might have dropped with her now and a mark of 70 could prove lenient. She needs to prove herself on tapeta but I see no reason why she won’t take to it and this looks winnable. Typewritten impressed winning at Southwell last month but failed to match that form last time and has a bit to prove off the back of that. World Without Love has the blinkers on for the first time and that might see her emerge as the main danger. The rest all look to have enough to prove and will struggle if the selection improves.
