A four-time winner, he finished two places ahead of the selection when they clashed at Bellewstown. Hermann Clermont is likely to have plenty of supporters with Niall Moore taking a valuable 7lb off, while Light Fury, Very Excellent and Light Heidi are other leading hopes.

The Jayne Hearne-trained six-year-old has a course win to her name and subsequently performed with credit in two Grade 3 contests. She then failed to make an impact in the Ryanair Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March and returns to action now on what will be her first start in handicap company. Gotthenod is a five-time winner and is given second preference with Tom Harney taking a valuable 7lb off. The Famous Name chestnut was successful here in June but disappointed on her most recent start at Ballinrobe. Ladiam also failed to fire last time out at Downpatrick but could bounce back now with Rachael Blackmore a significant jockey booking. Game And Glory, Bonne Debut and Beat Of The Sea are others for the shortlist.

The five-year-old has some solid bumper form to her name and while she has failed to make a significant impact over flights thus far, she makes her debut in handicap company now. Cassidys Girl ran her best race to date when a close fourth at Killarney in August and looks capable of making her presence felt with Ben Kennedy taking a valuable 7lb off. Hollys Honour finished fifth at Downpatrick on her most recent start but was subsequently disqualified after her rider weighed-in light. The Sans Frontieres chestnut has some decent efforts to her name and should give a good account of herself. Fifth of 20 on her penultimate start at Cork, Hockworthy Flyer has definite claims with Darragh O'Keeffe aboard, while Londonofficecallin, Corkbeg and Sligo runner-up Eddies Pride are others of note.

However, she was since a bit disappointing at Downpatrick and needs to brush up on her jumping. Appian Way is without a win in 28 starts but went down by just a length and a half when second at Listowel last week and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better now. For a selection, EARLY ARRIVAL gets the nod. Second here in March, he again filled the runner-up spot over fences on his latest start at Wexford. Still in with every chance on the approach to the last at Bettyville, a peck on landing virtually ended his challenge. Light Parade was a solid forth at Downpatrick recently and has definite claims, while others to keep on side are top weight Dr Val, Tramore third Hard Target and the Denise O'Shea trained Let Her Flow.

The Folkes Tiara sets the standard on a mark of 111 but he has been disappointing of late and is difficult to fancy with any great confidence. A beaten favourite on his last two starts, he has been given a break since his most recent effort in early July. The Gordon Elliott-trained THE MOON SEA'S ME makes greater appeal. She won a point-to-point on debut for Aidan Fitzgerald at Monksgrange in March and won't have to be anything out of the ordinary to take this moderate contest. Malinas Glory disappointed on his handicap debut at Galway but has some solid form to his name. A close fourth on his most recent visit to Powerstown Park, the Eoghan O'Grady-trained five-year-old should give a good account of himself. Nusra has each-way claims after finishing fifth at Listowel last week, while Barrys Rock is another that warrants respect.

First reserve Dangan Des Champs would be of definite interest if getting a run. Successful over fences at Sligo earlier this month, she would carry just 10-3 here with Michael O'Sullivan claiming a valuable 7lb. DICEBOX on the other hand must contend with top weight. He had a far from straightforward passage at Down Royal on his most recent start but still managed to prevail, beating subsequent winner Lily Light Foot into second. Only a five-year-old and fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, the selection looks open to further improvement. The Joseph O'Brien-trained Cast Iron catches the eye off a mark of 86. With the wealth of talent on Owning Hill, it's perhaps significant that connections are persisting with this Midnight Legend six-year-old. Off the track for nearly a year, she was a solid third at Gowran when last seen. Lucailem disappointed when sent off favourite on soft ground at Roscommon last month and back on a sound surface now, a much-improved performance looks likely. In truth, a strong case can be made for many others in this competitive affair, with Falcon Park, Rule Of June and Presenting Point all leading hopes.

Another weak contest to round off proceedings. Lady Of The Vale and Leitrim Park are the standout names and both will be towards the head of the market. A beaten favourite on her first two starts and particularly disappointing at Kilbeggan, the Willie Mullins-trained latter is clearly not one of the leading lights at Closutton. Lady Of The Vale has been placed on three of her five starts to date and is sure to go close with Adam Ryan taking a valuable 7lb off. For a selection, it might be worth taking a chance on SOCIALOCCASION, who is a half-sister to Dingo Dollar. She performed better than her finishing position would suggest when eighth at Navan recently and is open to further progress. The Green Grocer is of interest on debut, while Glendars Mahler and Save Face are others with place claims.
