The 2YO Trophy is always a race I enjoy and I think there could be value in backing the favourite here. COLD CASE really impressed winning at Doncaster last month. He was keen enough but found plenty when challenged and showed a good attitude to get his head down on the line. His Gimcrack third behind Noble Style and Marshman before that looks really solid form and so with more to come I think he is comfortably the one to beat in this. He sets the standard already so if he improves the rest will be playing catch-up. He holds an entry in the Irish 2,000 Guineas next year so connections are clearly hopeful he will develop into a smart horse in time. Barefoot Angel has won both starts since her debut second to Swingalong and looks the danger. Of the rest Holguin has ground to make up with the selection on that last piece of form but also looks to be going the right way so might not be far away.
