The Clive Cox trained TIS MARVELLOUS (best priced at 7/1) has an excellent record at Ascot in his career with form figures of 4641214443110 and he should hold strong claims of a repeat victory in this race. The eight-year-old won this race on soft ground last year beating future Group 1 winner Minzaal and two-time winner of this race Dakota Gold. He has had a quieter season this year with only four runs but one of those included a repeat victory in the Beverley Bullet in August. 
Tis Marvellous is reunited with Adam Kirby for this race and with four places available I expect him to be involved in the finish once again.

The Dermot McLoughlin trained WA WA (best priced at 3/1) is extremely well handicapped on his return to hurdling and I expect him to prove hard to beat in this race. The seven-year-old has improved over fences since joining this stable from the David Christie yard including two victories over fences around this time last year. He is now rated 125 over fences but gets to run here back over hurdles off a mark of 90 which makes him extremely well handicapped. 

If he is fit enough following a 138 day break then I expect Wa Wa to prove hard to beat under regular rider Bryan Cooper.

The Tom Clover trained JUMBEAU (best priced at 12/1) hasn’t been seen since a good run when 5th in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot but that race is working out extremely well. The winner Little Big Bear is unbeaten since including in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes last time, the second Rocket Rodney won a listed race on his next start, the 3rd Eddie’s Boy won a Group 3 in France last time, the fourth Chateau won a listed race on his next start and the six Bolt Action has finished 2nd in a couple of listed races before winning a conditions race earlier this week. 

Jumbeau returns from 108 days off the track but she had previously good form when a debut winner at Brighton and a 3rd placed finish in a listed race at York so she is interesting on her return. With up to five places available and Hayley Turner on board, she should run well.
