The Jamie Snowden stable can do little wrong at present and the impressive point-to-point winner COLONEL HARRY is taken to strike on his Rules debut. The five-year-old is related to plenty of winners and he gets the vote ahead of Seigneur Des As, who brings a decent level of form from France. Knockanore showed up well on both of his outings in the spring and he cannot be ruled out either.

It is difficult to look past the classy AUCUNRISQUE, who is clear on ratings and won four of his six starts over hurdles last season, including the Dovecote at Kempton. Chris Gordon's charge was a slick jumper of the smaller obstacles so it is hoped that the switch to fences won't hinder his progress. Stepney Causeway is a player based on the pick of his form, while Jetoile finished runner-up in the Tolworth in January.

GOOD IMPRESSION was only beaten a short-head into second at Newton Abbot last time and a reproduction of that level of form today would give him a big chance, despite a 2lb rise in the ratings. Encashment has made the frame on her last two starts over this C&D and she is an obvious threat to the selection, while Castle Quarter completes the shortlist.

Lucky Lover Boy narrowly won at Sedgefield on Tuesday and, if turned out quickly again, then he's definitely one to consider, but slight preference is for Kerry Lee's HENRI LE BON. He pulled well clear from the rest when second here last month and a 2lb rise looks unlikely to prevent another bold showing. Couldbeaweapon needs to improve but he might fare much better on his first start in a handicap.

Most of these have questions to answer and while the most solid option could be An Marcach, he doesn't have the best record fresh, so preference is for Rebecca Curtis' EASKEY LAD. He looked in need of a stiffer test of stamina when third over shorter at Plumpton last month and this is only his third start over fences, so he could be open to more improvement. Present Chief has disappointed of late but he is starting to look very well handicapped if recapturing his best form.

SOUTH TERRACE has a C&D win to his name and was subsequently far-from disgraced in a couple of tougher contests during a light campaign last year. The gelding is fancied to capitalise on this slight ease in grade on his return to action. Mr Yeats will be popular after a couple of recent wins at Newton Abbot, but a 5lb latest rise makes for a difficult assignment in his hat-trick bid. Geordie Des Champs is also interesting back over this distance.

JAMACHO has been in good form over hurdles and reverts to chasing at a realistic level. Charlie Longsdon's gelding showed an aptitude for the larger obstacles when winning at Huntingdon a year ago and shouldn't be underestimated. Galice Macalo is interesting dropping back in trip after a hefty defeat over 2m4f at Warwick in March. She's won when fresh in the past so also merits serious consideration. Katpoli won over timber in France and is another to note now that he's back on these shores with a high-profile yard.
