I can see FLAT WHITE being really difficult to beat here as she bids to complete a hat-trick of wins. She hasn’t looked back since reverting to the Flat from hurdles winning by seven lengths at Catterick and then following up at the same venue despite an 8lb rise. She is up another 5lb here but obviously has more to come on the level yet and it’s no surprise to see her favourite. There isn’t a great deal of pace on here so I think she’ll push forward and look to make all.

Wynford impressed to win at Carlisle and went down less than a length here last time so looks the danger. Flint Hill finished in front of the latter when second last time but looked all out at the finish whereas the third was still trying to make ground so I think he’ll reverse that. I expected Dereham to do better than he did last time so he is hard to recommend here but if bouncing back would have claims as he clearly stays well.

The improving STAR PLAYER should be capable of justifying favouritism here for Simon and Ed Crisford. The yard have been in terrific form lately operating at a near 30% strike rate in the past fortnight alone. This horse won despite idling at Epsom back in August and then got within a short head of following up at Yarmouth last month. X J Rascal was the horse that beat him so that was still a good effort despite it being a match. A lot of his form stacks up actually and racing off the same mark as last time he should have what it takes to beat these rivals.

Starnberg was expected to do better last time but looked one paced under pressure and has ground to make up despite being eased 2lb. Kind Spirit has been kept busy and needs a bit of help from the handicapper. Grand Central is quite interesting having undergone wind surgery and might be value to hit the frame in cheekpieces.
