Three Dons ran well when beaten two lengths into second at Chelmsford last month and has strong claims running off the same mark here. He is still a maiden though and I wouldn’t want to be taking a short price about him winning this. 3-time C&D winner INEXPLICABLE makes much greater appeal at juicier odds. This son of Dark Angel got within half a length of victory at Newcastle last month before finding his stride too late when only fourth at Southwell. I think he is in form and back at this track could make his presence felt. He is versatile as to tactics and if he is within touching distance turning in he should be one of those finishing strongly. Birkie Girl was a bit of an eye-catcher going down just half a length to Midgetonamission at Lingfield last time but like the favourite she is also still a maiden and will likely find a couple too good once more. The rest are made up of either maidens or horses out of form so not a lot of strength in depth here.
