I really liked the way DUNDORY won at Goodwood with the ground testing and I know he has been beaten off this mark at Epsom since but that was on a faster surface and he was left poorly placed. I still think he is in really good form so with plenty of rain about conditions should be ideal here. Gina Mangan knows him well and claims a handy 3lb once more which is a big plus. I expect him to be ridden off the pace as he likes passing horses and as long as he settles I think he’ll be one of those finishing best. Shine On Brendan seems to have gone off the boil for now and this might be a stiff enough ask off his current mark. Cabinet Maker is probably a greater danger as he is still a 3yo and he ran well at Kempton before being given too much to do at Newcastle last time.

Richard Hannon was probably left a bit frustrated not to get a win out of FLINTSTONE on the Flat as he shaped really well on a few occasions. It was good to see him get off the mark over hurdles at the first attempt at Stratford and he saw it out well on that occasion. He was beaten under a penalty at Worcester but stuck to the task in likeable fashion especially given he lacked fluency 3 out and lost a fair bit of momentum. He was only claimed late for second so still shaped well enough in defeat. He goes handicapping now and given his lightly raced profile has to be of serious interest here with Jordan Nailor claiming 3lb. Canal Rocks beat Chess Player at Worcester and ran well again when third to Appreciate it at Newton Abbot last month and looks to be the main danger.
