Given the way BROOMFIELD BURG won at Kempton on Boxing Day he didn’t quite live up to expectations last season but I think he was quite an immature horse and with another summer on his back and a wind op since we last saw him he could be ready to take a big step forward now. He just made too many mistakes when last seen at Market Rasen but I remain convinced he is well handicapped off a mark of 130 and with this track likely to suit and conditions ideal he looks decent value at around 6/1. West To The Bridge, Bourbali and even Zabeel Champion could go forward and a real good gallop would be perfect for the selection as he is a strong traveller. The danger is likely Knappers Hill but he did need his reappearance run last season and will be better for it. Masters Legacy won fresh last season and has had a wind op so is also feared.
