Maylandsea drops considerably in grade following a disappointing run in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes last month but, given she finished second behind Dramatised in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, she looks capable of bouncing back to form. However, preference lies with CRISPY CAT, who beat the reopposing Prince Of Pillo (fourth) when third on his most recent run over this trip at Doncaster. This looks a more suitable task for him return to winning form and he is certainly capable of giving a good account. Prediction : 1st Crispy Cat 2nd Maylandsea 3rd Prince Of Pillo

A case can be made for several of these, including the Tom Clover-trained Crystallium, who seeks to extend her unbeaten record stepping up in grade, but BELIEVING has filled the runner-up spot on her last two outings and shades the vote. She kept on for second on her most recent run over 6f, so a stiffer stamina test could aid her cause, and she can be in the mix once more. Youngest made a pleasing racecourse bow at Leicester last month when scoring by three-quarters of a length, and she also merits consideration.Prediction : 1st Believing 2nd Crystallium 3rd Youngest

An interesting Group 2 contest in which SACRED gets the vote, having bolted up in Listed territory on her most recent outing at Newbury last month. She is entitled to emulate that run now stepping back up in grade, but Pogo beat her in the City Of York Stakes in August and he should not be taken lightly in this. Oscula is another to note dropping in trip following a disappointing showing over 1m last month, and the booking of Ryan Moore certainly catches the eye.Prediction : 1st Sacred 2nd Pogo 3rd Oscula

Sparkling Beauty looks interesting after her Deauville second was franked by Never Ending Story placing in the Prix Marcel Boussac on Sunday and she could go well, but COMMISSIONING is hard to oppose. Two impressive wins here (on both courses) see her as short as 6/1 for the 1000 Guineas in 2023 and it would be a surprise if she doesn't keep her unbeaten record. Library is another to consider for the O'Brien/Moore team who won this in 2015 and 2016 and they know the sort needed.Prediction : 1st Commissioning 2nd Sparkling Beauty 3rd Library

In an open event, marginal preference is for SIMPLY SONDHEIM. George Boughey's charge arrives in search of a seventh straight victory having risen 31lb in the handicap this season and, in receipt of weight all round, another bold bid appears highly likely. La Yakel made a successful handicap debut at Ascot last month and demands the utmost respect, along with First Ruler, who rates best of the Godolphin trio. Maksud was far from disgraced in Listed company on his latest outing and is another to consider in a first-time hood. Prediction : 1st Simply Sondheim 2nd La Yakel 3rd First Ruler

Mubhijah has progressed with each start and went close to shedding the maiden tag over C&D when beaten a neck on her third start. Of those with experience, she sets the standard, but DREAM OF LOVE makes plenty of appeal on her racecourse debut, coming from a top family with her dam being a Group 2 winner, and Charlie Appleby's filly is taken to continue her handler's excellent record on the Rowley Mile in 2022. Nigiri, Hey Lyla and Love Is A Rose appeal most of the remainder.Prediction : 1st Dream Of Love 2nd Mubhijah 3rd Nigiri

WHISPERING WORDS is out of a Listed winner and the daughter of Dubawi warrants plenty of respect on her first start in a contest her handler won in both 2019 and 2020. Roadway is a half-sister to Storm The Stars, who placed in both the Derby and the Irish equivalent, and is capable of being in the mix, while Tamaluk is expected to step forward from her fifth at Newbury in August.Prediction : 1st Whispering Words 2nd Roadway 3rd Tamaluk

SHAARA landed the hat-trick on her most recent start at Yarmouth when stepped up to Listed class, with Ville De Grace less than a length behind in third, and the daughter of Shamardal is open to further progression on her return to Group company. Creative Flair was last seen finishing last in a Grade 1 at Saratoga and the drop in grade is likely to see her in a better light. State Occasion, who progressed with a brace of handicap victories at Goodwood and York in the summer, is capable of bouncing back from her latest run when fourth at Dundalk.Prediction : 1st Shaara 2nd Creative Flair 3rd State Occasion
