With Buick booked for the ride LOVELY BREEZE must have a great shout of winning this. She found all bar Spanish Star too strong when second in this last year and looked good winning over C&D last month. She hung slightly when making headway but ran on strongly at the finish and was good value for that. She has finished midfield in the Ayr Silver Cup since but she wasn’t disgraced and back at this venue I think there is plenty in her favour. Dora Penny was back in form to win by a neck at Ffos Las last month which was a huge effort considering how high she has climbed in the handicap since her winning run started back in the summer. She is up another 4lb but still has to be feared again. Spanish Star beat the selection last year and also has to be noted but he is 3lb worse off this time around.
