The Dylan Thomas mare was highly progressive, starting out in handicaps off a mark of 100 and ending up on a rating of 137 after three wins over timber. Happy D'ex cost 195,000-pounds after winning her point-to-point and seems to be finding her feet after disappointing slightly following her bumper success here in November last year. She could improve again over fences and looks a danger. Broomfield Hall is another who comes here having won her last two over hurdles and has to be respected. She makes her seasonal debut having won at Punchestown when last seen in April.

GRAND ROI was turned over at a short price on his chase debut at Listowel but is entitled to improve from that outing and could prove hard to beat now. The Spanish Moon gelding was a Grade 2 winner over hurdles and had some good runs in hot company last season without scoring. He wasn't fluent at a couple of crucial times when no match for Adamantly Chosen on his chase debut but the experience should stand to him and going up in trip now will help. Henry de Bromhead runs two in this and Rachael Blackmore rides Amirite. The Sholokhov gelding came good with a wide margin success over hurdles at Kilbeggan in April and as a former point-to-point winner this was always likely to be his game. Palace Rock is a decent dual purpose performer and one to keep an eye on making his chase debut.

Cormac Farrell has done a good job with HURRICANE DARWIN since taking over his training and the Westerner gelding may be able to land a hat-trick here. He won over the banks at Punchestown on his first outing for the Bunclody handler and made a successful return to action over hurdles at Listowel a fortnight ago. Back over fences now he looks on an attractive mark, a couple of pounds lower than his new rating over timber. Direct Image was highly progressive before a disappointing effort at Wexford when last seen in August. She is on an attractive mark back over fences here if she can leave behind that poor run. Whacker Clan was a good winner over fences at Ballinrobe on his second outing over the larger obstacles and has to be respected on his handicap debut.

HAZELHATCH LADY looks a nice sort to go jumping with now after coming good in a bumper at Wexford in July. She had disappointed connections in a couple of runs prior to that but was good when scoring on her most recent outing, swooping from last to first. Derek O'Connor takes the mount again and the big daughter of Doyen is built for jumping. Howaya C D And E has been knocking on the door and looks an obvious danger. Sainte Dona has progressed with racing and is another leading contender after a solid runner-up effort at Wexford back in April. The Gordon Elliott-trained Purse Price cost 25,000-pounds after winning a flat race at a point-to-point meeting in England. The Passing Glance filly is from the family of SunAlliance winner Lord Noelie. A tongue-tie first time would be a slight concern.

DOYENNA looks capable of scoring again off this kind of mark. She bumped into a well handicapped rival in One Cool Poet at Down Royal last time having narrowly denied the gambled-on So Scottish on her previous start at Tramore. That form looks very solid and the unexposed grand-daughter of Opera Hat could still be leniently treated. Lariat has been running very consistently and is just a pound higher than when second on his last hurdles run at Kilbeggan. He should be thereabouts again. Tom McGreevy switches back to hurdles having had jumping issues over fences. He is on a competitive mark over timber if recent spills haven't left a mark.

UNLAOISED may be able to turn the tables on Berliet Express here at the revised terms. The Millenary mare has been runner-up on her last couple of outings and is now 4lb better off when you take into account claims. James O'Sullivan takes 5lb off Berliet Express now, who by the trainer's admission hasn't always been the strongest finisher. Trishknowsbest was a game winner at Downpatrick last month and connections offset her 6lb rise for that victory by legging up amateur Joey Dunne now. She could be a big player again.

NUCKY JOHNSON looks the one to beat here. The Vadamos gelding was a promising third on his debut at Punchestown in April in a decent contest and that race has thrown up a couple of winners since. This doesn't look like a strong race for the venue. Rathnaleen Zoey ran a nice race despite being a massive price over hurdles at Listowel to finish fourth to John Cannon. She is entitled to improve again and could get involved now. Stuart Crawford's newcomer Wee Saying is one to note in the market. The Valirann gelding is out of an unraced half-sister to Earth Planet, who won four and was placed in a couple of Grade 2 bumpers. Shark Hanlon's Lakefield Flyer showed ability in a few point-to-point runs and is another to consider.
