MULLENBEG was slightly disappointing when beaten on her hurdling debut last month but she will not find many better opportunities than this to score over obstacles. Martalindy is the clear main threat as she would have been in the frame but for being brought down at the last on her hurdles debut at Ayr in May. Dooyork edges out Alexandra Romanov to be best of the rest.

ZYON may have needed his comeback run at Warwick a couple of weeks ago and he could take plenty of stopping on his return to chasing off a workable mark. Nefyn Point has not been disgraced on his last couple of starts at Sedgefield and he should be in the mix once again this afternoon, while Thundersockssundae is another to note.

The Alan King-trained NO RECOLLECTION makes his handicap debut over hurdles after shedding his maiden tag with a win over 2m at Worcester in July. With the second from that contest winning twice subsequently, this four-year-old's opening mark looks workable. Leopolds Rock arrives in fine form and Joe Williamson's 5lb claim effectively puts him only 1lb higher than his latest win, with Phoenix Aquilus rating next best ahead of Geometrical.

Bal Amie isn't the easiest to weigh up on both his stable and handicap debut (over fences) for Oliver Sherwood. With the headgear left off, the eight-year-old may prove worth taking on. LORD SPARKY was last seen running to good effect in May and we could see further improvement now with the potential of a new yard freshening him up. Call Of The Loon arrives in good heart and he rates the biggest threat, while the David Pipe-trained Dindin also has a squeak.

A few of these have question marks surrounding them, so this may be fought out by in-form rivals Dellboy Trotter and PRESENTING YEATS, with slight preference for the latter after losing the race in the stewards' room at Newton Abbot when last seen in August.
