Given how well THE FERRY MASTER progressed a couple of years ago winning twice over fences and then finishing fourth to Mighty Thunder in the Scottish Grand National last season would have to go down as a disappointment. He failed to win but did at least get within a neck of victory at Newcastle following a wind op. He has been off 6 months but does still retain potential if rediscovering some form this season. His current mark should be well within range and this looks a good starting point. Court Dreaming has won over C&D but went off the boil when last seen over hurdles in June. He could go fairly well but lacks the potential of the selection. Small Present disappointed on sole start over fences last year but should still have a future in this discipline and could be the danger.

15:15 Brighton

Silver Bubble has obviously been in terrific form having won 3 of her last 4 but she carries a big weight here under a penalty and might be opposable. I like recent C&D winner PARIKARMA for Gary Moore. She made a winning debut for this yard last time and still looks well treated under a penalty. She really relished this test last time and she looks obvious value against the favourite to me. Letter Of The Law and Regulator should go forward and avoid it turning tactical which is a definite positive. If Silver Bubble blows out then maybe Angels Roc will be the danger as he won over C&D last month and I think you can forgive him that fourth at Chelmsford last time. Of the rest Shifter is likeable and is only 1lb above her last winning mark so might go well for a long way but likely still needs more.
