The four-year-old superstar BAAEED, trained by William Haggas, will reportedly finish his career at Ascot having chosen the Champion Stakes over the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe for his swansong.

Still unbeaten, Baaeed (1/4) stretched his winning run into double figures at York in August, beating Mishriff by six and a half lengths in the Juddmonte International Stakes on his first start beyond a mile. It was his sixth consecutive victory at Group 1 level.

The biggest threat to Baaeed is likely to be last year’s Derby (Epsom) and King George winner (Ascot) Adayar (5/1), who won at Doncaster last month on his long-awaited reappearance run.

Baaeed, has taken almost 10% of all bets for this race and with a flawless racing record will surely be a must for any treble, lucky 15s or any multiple for racing at Ascot.

Globetrotter Modern Games has been declared as another big chance for Appleby in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, but it’s the John & Thady Gosden trained three-year-old INSPIRAL (11/10) taking the bulk of the bets through oddschecker.
