It was good to see COCO HILL finally get her head in front winning readily at Chepstow last month. She had been knocking on the door for a while so it was a deserved victory and she looked to relish the step back up to 6f on that occasion. She only went down a length prior to that but just seemed to find things happening too quickly. She is up 6lb from that win but now she has her head in front she could really kick on. Aira Force is the only other last time out winner in the field and she looks the main danger.

She showed a good attitude to hold on at Leicester and up 6lb should give her running once more. Alpine Girl was fourth over track and trip last time but could have more to come stepping into a nursery and is also noted. Bar those it is a race that lacks quality so all in all a good opportunity for the selection.

Horses for courses with SUNDAYINMAY producing her best effort winning by over 4 lengths here last year. She was back in the winners enclosure on reappearance at Lingfield before disappointing switched back to turf at Salisbury. Given a bit of time to get over that she was an eye-catcher in defeat at Wolverhampton last month, going down just a length at the line. The front pair came nicely clear from the rest and the field was really strung out in behind.

A 2lb rise looks fair and I think this is winnable so it will be disappointing if she doesn’t go close with Hayley Turner in the saddle again. Free Eagle filly Escape Free might be the danger as she has shown ability and definitely has potential now going handicapping. Donna Italiana is another one that catches the eye if the first-time hood can help her progress.
